The Tina Times got a new look!
It’s been about a year since I started this blog for my sister, Tina. We live 2,000 miles apart so don’t get to see each other that often. When I moved away a few years ago, she was dealing with some health issues, so it was particularly important for me to be there for her, at least figuratively.
The Tina Times began as a way to catalogue all sorts of “positive living” resources and inspiration that Tina could refer to again and again—a collection of ideas on healthy living, positive thinking, eco-friendliness and a little bit of do-gooding.
At first the blog was a secret, just something for Tina to visit if and when she needed it.
Since then, Tina’s secret “newspaper” has grown both with and beyond her. It’s found its way to readers around the world, has been featured on Fulfillment Daily and Huffington Post, and now has its own fledgling social media accounts (let’s be friends!).
So, the site got a redesign to support where it’s growing. The layout is different, some of the categories got reorganized, but overall it’s the same idea as before. Blog subscriptions should automatically continue, but if they don’t, you can subscribe again here (on the sidebar to the right).
What I’ve found most remarkable about this past year is how much Tina’s story is anyone’s story. We don’t all go through the same things at the same times, and the details aren’t exactly alike—but this life thing is pretty common. We’re all just trying to be as happy and healthy as possible. And sometimes we all need a little help getting there.
Above all, I hope this accidental little blog gives you something that inspires or supports you. That it helps you know you’re getting to where you’re going, and reminds you that that’s what we’re all aiming for. Although sometimes the struggle is real, you’re never really alone. There are so many more of us right there with you, finding our way, learning to live the best life we can.
